Marie Ronold Mathisen

Dance artist

Marie Ronold Mathisen is an independent dance artist based in Stavanger, Norway. She creates and performs her own work, as well as working with and for other artists. Marie is particularly interested in the solo format and improvisation as an artistic practice.

Marie is a graduate of Northern School of Contemporary Dance (BA in Performing Arts, 2009) and Oslo National Academy of the Arts (MA in Dance, 2017). In 2014 she was given the award as Årets Stavangerkunstner by Stavanger Kommune.
