Katharina Bjelland

Katharina Bjelland is a visual artist born in Germany. She lived in London and Shanghai before moving to Stavanger with her young family in 2017. Following a career break, Katharina decided to pursue her lifelong passion and now works as an artist full time, after completing her studies at Stavanger Art School spring 2021. Katharina also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Germany.

Working with found materials, text, print and sculpture, Katharina finds her inspiration in everyday objects and situations, exploring consumerism and role allocations within households and society.

Additionally, Katharina works part time at Kunsthall Stavanger as host and educator.
