Helga Kleppe Holthe

Helga Kleppe Holthe (b. 1979, Haugesund, Norway) is a visual artist and poet now based in Stavanger. A former nurse, she followed her lifelong calling to art after moving to Australia in 2007, studying visual and contemporary arts in Perth.

Her work is guided by intuition and the unseen — moods, atmospheres, shifting light, and the subtle vibrations of nature. Swallows and Ladybirds, the name of her practice, arose from a dream at once intense and comforting, embodying the poetic sensibility at the heart of her art.

Helga weaves painting, poetry, and story into a practice that speaks to the spaces between emotion and perception. She is open to commissions and collaborative projects.
